COUNCILIN PTE. LTD. is a company incorporated in Singapore (SSIC 62011 — Development of software and applications). We operate the COUNCILin platform, a multi-model AI deliberation service.

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a unique user identifier, managed through our authentication provider (Clerk).
When you use COUNCILin, the questions, prompts, and documents you submit are processed transiently on our servers to deliver the service. We do not store your queries or uploaded documents. Uploaded files are held in memory only for the duration of processing and are discarded immediately after. They are never written to a persistent database or retained beyond your session.
We collect data about how you use the platform — features accessed, session activity, credit usage — to operate and improve the service.
Payment transactions are handled by Stripe. We do not store your card details. We receive confirmation of successful payments and your subscription tier.
If you use the Advisor feature, a profile (role, company stage, industry, working observations) is stored locally in your browser on your own device (browser localStorage). This data does not leave your device except when you interact with the Advisor, at which point it is transmitted to our servers to inform the session — it is not stored server-side. You can view, edit, and delete your Notebook at any time from within the app. Clearing your browser storage also removes it entirely.

We do not sell your personal data.
We do not use your queries, prompts, or uploaded documents to train AI models — ever. This applies to all content you submit to the service, without exception and without opt-out, because there is no opt-in to begin with.
Some service decisions — such as whether your credit balance is sufficient to run a query — are made automatically based on your account state. If you believe an automated decision was applied in error, contact us at hello@councilin.ai.

Each provider operates under its own data processing terms and privacy policy. Where data is transferred outside Singapore, we rely on the contractual safeguards maintained by each provider.
We retain your account data and credit history for as long as your account remains active. If you close your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. financial records).
Queries, prompts, and uploaded documents are never stored on our servers. They are processed in memory and discarded at the end of each request. Your Advisor Notebook is stored on your own device and is under your full control at all times.

If you believe we have not complied with the PDPA, you may lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commission at pdpc.gov.sg.
COUNCILin uses browser localStorage to store session preferences, your Advisor Notebook, and credit state. This data never leaves your device except when transmitted to our server as part of the service. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
We apply industry-standard security measures: HTTPS for all data in transit, access controls on our infrastructure, and input sanitisation to prevent injection attacks. No system is perfectly secure; in the event of a data breach that affects your rights, we will notify you and the PDPC in accordance with our obligations under the PDPA.
COUNCILin is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated to registered users by email. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
